Alaska Peninsula Brown Bear Hunting…what more needs to be said. This is one of the best places in the world to shoot a trophy class Brown Bear. We have a permit to hunt the Dog Salmon River in the Alaska Peninsula Wildlife Refuge which has produced many Boone & Crockett trophies over the last several decades. We only take four hunters in the spring and three in the fall, alternating every other year, so the population remains excellent. We have a comfortable lodge as well as remote spike camps. Wolves can be added to this hunt.
Moose…We have a permit to hunt the Dog Salmon River in the Alaska Peninsula Wildlife Refuge. There are huge moose in this area and the population is very good. We only take three hunters in the fall. We have a comfortable lodge as well as remote spike camps. Wolves can be added to this hunt.
Interior Grizzly/Brown Bear…On these hunts, we target mature males. Boar grizzlies can grow to 9’ but the average is around 7’6”. Bears in the 8’ range are not uncommon. Boar brown bears in the Alaska Range can grow to 9’ 6” but the average is around 8’. We spot and stalk hunt from cabins and tent camps as well as hunt over bait. In the spring we spend time glassing slopes that have started to green up in May and June. Our baited hunts start in May and run through June 15th. The fall hunts are spot and stalk or baited, August and September into early October.
Black Bear…These hunts are in the Alaska Range and the limit is three bears per season. We have had tremendous success taking bears in this area and many bears square 7’. We have bait sites and spot and stalk hunts specifically targeting black bears and we also take them as opportunity allows while hunting other animals. Our bait hunts are out of our cabins which allow for some of the comforts of home. Black bear hunts start in May and run through September.
Wolf/wolverine…are a rare sight to see on a hunt, but it is possible, just seeing one of these animals is awesome.
